About

My mother-in-law gave my wife and I a cookie tin full of matchbooks that she had collected over the years. Most are from the 1960's and 1970's in DC, Maryland, Boston, and Colorado.

About Me

A Kansas boy uprooted to DC, I spend my time hanging out with my wife Genevieve, taking pictures, reading, and trying to find new cocktails.

I currently run one blog (Close Up Matchbook) and formerly ran or wrote for two others: another macro-photography blog (Close Up Clarendon) and a one about how the principles underlying successful societies can be used in management (Rooted In Prosperity). Blogger profile here.
